Leg Veins

The leg vein laser treats individual and matted spider veins, which can be red or purple, raised for flat, and are commonly fond around the ankle, calf or thigh.

The majority of patients seeking treatment for removal of unsightly leg veins are for cosmetic reasons. Most are uncomfortable with the appearance of these veins during the warmer months when shorts/skirts are worn.

The leg vein laser produces an intense but gentle burst of laser light that passes harmlessly through the skin and is selectively absorbed by the vessel. The light produced by the laser generates heat within the vessel destroying it without causing thermal injury to any of the surrounding tissue.

Patients will experience some temporary discoloration or reddening of the skin around the treatment sight. Hypo- or Hyper-pigmentation response or increase in pigment color may be experienced by some patients. The skin will typically return to normal pigmentation over time.

An average treatment takes between 15 and 30 minutes. Most veins will fade after one treatment. However, additional treatments may be required depending on the size and location of the vein.

Facial Veins

The facial vein laser treats telangiectasias or facial spider veins, broken capillaries, port wine stain birthmarks, strawberry hemangiomas, warts, scars, stretch marks and Rosacea.

The facial vein laser is specially designed to produce an intense but gentle burst of laser light. The treatment is safer than traditional methods because of its unique ability to selectively treat the blood vessels of a vascular lesion without adversely affecting the surrounding tissue. Thus, it will eliminate many lesions while leaving the surrounding skin intact. In fact, the laser is so safe and effective it is recommended for treatment of infants as young as a few weeks old.

Many people are uncomfortable with unsightly facial red spots, Rosacea and birthmarks. Now, with the proven results of the facial vein laser, there is no need to live with these problems. Most facial veins require a single treatment. However, birthmarks and thicker vascular lesions require multiple treatments.

These laser treatments are more comfortable and require less recovery time than some other methods used to treat these conditions.

This procedure is usually performed in the comfort of your doctor's office. Typically, you may resume normal activities and return to work immediately after your laser treatment.
